Description
A 200 g solid brass floor stop, in place of the loose wedge.
Vela is a low cylinder machined from solid brass, knurled all round, with a 15 mm rubber band that takes the door. It fixes straight to the floor and sits there, small and heavy, for the life of the room. Swing the bedroom door open a little too fast and it meets the rubber with a soft thud instead of the wall. Choose Elio instead if the door also needs to be held open.

Installation guide
Open the door to its resting position and mark where the lower face of the door meets the center of the rubber band. Check for underfloor heating, services and waterproofing before drilling.
- Open the door fully and mark where it meets the wall or floor.
- Drill and plug the wall or floor.
- Fix the base plate, then thread the stop on and tighten by hand.
Care
Wipe the brass and rubber with a soft dry cloth. No abrasives, no polish. Brass is meant to age with the house.
Shipping and returns
Free U.S. shipping on every order. Handling takes 3 business days and delivery 15 to 20 business days after the order; priority processing shortens that to 10 to 20. Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery on unused, uninstalled pieces in their original packaging; a restocking fee of 5% applies, more if the packaging or parts are missing. Every piece carries a 1-year manufacturer warranty.

Questions, answered
Will it fit my door?
Check the door thickness and backset in the specifications. If your doors sit outside that range, write to us before ordering and we will confirm.
Is the latch included?
Where a set includes a latch it is listed in the specifications. Sets for existing latches are marked as lever or knob only.
Is it handed?
Most Sofina levers are reversible. Where a piece is handed it is offered as left or right in the options.
Passage, privacy or dummy?
Passage turns and latches with no lock. Privacy adds a thumb turn for bathrooms and bedrooms. Dummy is a fixed pull for closets and pantry doors that do not latch.
Can it be used on an exterior door?
These sets are for interior doors. Brass will weather outside and the latches are not rated for exterior use.
Do I need a professional to fit it?
A competent installer with a chisel and a drill can fit a lever set. New mortises and pocket door hardware are better left to a carpenter.
