Description
A cross-knurled solid brass knob that fills the palm.
Sarto is a rounded solid brass knob on a plain round rose, with a cross-knurl cut into the grip so it turns with a sure hold even in a damp hand. At 57 mm across it fills the palm, and the weight tells you it is solid before you look. Reach for it on the way out to dinner and the door closes behind you with a settled click. It pairs with the Sarto lever, hinge and door stop, and each set is for one door.

Installation guide
Confirm your door thickness (35 to 45 mm) and the fixed 60 mm backset before ordering. Confirm the bore and latch prep with your installer.
- Confirm door thickness and backset against the specifications above.
- Fit the latch into the edge mortise and screw the faceplate flush.
- Pass the spindle through, seat both roses and fix through the door.
- Fit the strike plate to the frame and check the latch drops home without force.
Care
Wipe with a soft dry cloth. No abrasives, no polish. Brass is meant to age with the house.

Free U.S. shipping on every order. Handling takes 3 business days and delivery 15 to 20 business days after the order; priority processing shortens that to 10 to 20. Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery on unused, uninstalled pieces in their original packaging; a restocking fee of 5% applies, more if the packaging or parts are missing. Every piece carries a 1-year manufacturer warranty.

Questions, answered
Will it fit my door?
Check the door thickness and backset in the specifications. If your doors sit outside that range, write to us before ordering and we will confirm.
Is the latch included?
Where a set includes a latch it is listed in the specifications. Sets for existing latches are marked as lever or knob only.
Is it handed?
Most Sofina levers are reversible. Where a piece is handed it is offered as left or right in the options.
Passage, privacy or dummy?
Passage turns and latches with no lock. Privacy adds a thumb turn for bathrooms and bedrooms. Dummy is a fixed pull for closets and pantry doors that do not latch.
Can it be used on an exterior door?
These sets are for interior doors. Brass will weather outside and the latches are not rated for exterior use.
Do I need a professional to fit it?
A competent installer with a chisel and a drill can fit a lever set. New mortises and pocket door hardware are better left to a carpenter.
