Description
A cube of alabaster on the nightstand, and the whole block lights up.
Cubo is a table lamp with no shade and no base, just a cube of natural alabaster with the light inside it. Off, it is a pale stone block with cloudy veins. On, the whole cube glows warm white and the veins turn to shadows. It comes in two sizes, 7.8 inches for a nightstand or a bookshelf and 11.8 inches for a console or the floor beside a chair. The light is soft enough to read by and low enough to fall asleep to. Your hand rests on the cool of it while you read.

No wiring. Set it on a flat, stable surface within reach of an outlet and it is ready.
- Confirm dimensions against the specifications above.
- Mark, drill and fix with the supplied screws.
- Tighten by hand and wipe the piece down.
Care
Wipe with a soft dry cloth. No acids, no abrasives, no polish. Alabaster is a natural stone and no two pieces are alike; it is meant to age with the house.
Shipping and returns
Free U.S. shipping on every order. Handling takes 3 business days and delivery 15 to 20 business days after the order; priority processing shortens that to 10 to 20. Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery on unused, uninstalled pieces in their original packaging; a restocking fee of 5% applies, more if the packaging or parts are missing. Every piece carries a 1-year manufacturer warranty.

Questions, answered
Do I need an electrician?
Yes. Every Sofina lamp is hardwired to a standard junction box. It is a short job for a licensed electrician, and it keeps the warranty intact.
Is it wired for US power?
Yes. Every piece is made for 110 to 120 V circuits and arrives with its mounting bracket or canopy.
Which light colour should I choose?
Warm white 3000 K is what we photograph: it reads like candlelight through the stone. Neutral white 4000 K is cleaner and suits a bathroom mirror or a desk.
Can I dim it?
Pieces with a replaceable bulb take any dimmable LED in the same fitting and work with a standard LED dimmer such as the Brio rotary dimmer. For pieces with an integrated LED, check the specifications, and write to us if you plan to dim them.
Why does my alabaster look different from the photograph?
Because it is stone. Every slab is cut from its own block, so the veining and the tone vary from piece to piece. That is the point of it.
Can I use it in a bathroom?
Beside a mirror or over a vanity, yes. Keep it out of the shower zone, and ask your electrician about the zone rules for your bathroom.
