The Plate Sample Kit is six Brio plates: each of the three finishes, Brushed Brass, Aged Brass and Matte Black with Brass, as a single gang and as a double gang. Hold them to the paint, the tile and the cabinet fronts in morning light and after dark, see how a wider plate sits beside a door frame, then order the house in the finish that wins. Every plate is the real product and fits over any standard decorator switch or outlet.

Turn off the power at the breaker, remove the old cover plate, set the Brio plate over the existing device and tighten the screws with a flathead. No wiring is involved when you are only changing the plate.

1. Switch the circuit off at the breaker and confirm it is dead before touching a wire.
2. Remove the old plate and switch, noting which wire went where.
3. Connect line, load and ground to the Brio module, then seat it in the box.
4. Fix the plate with the supplied screws and restore power.
5. Have a licensed electrician do the above. It is a short job for them and a warranty condition for you.

Wipe with a soft dry cloth. No abrasives, no polish. Brass is meant to age with the house.
